The pipe is installed between joists using aluminium spreader plates and controlled by a single thermostat, making this option suitable for individual spaces such as kitchens, extensions, or open-plan rooms.
Multi room joist kits are designed to serve multiple areas from a central manifold. These kits include a wiring centre and thermal actuators, allowing each room to be controlled as a separate heating zone. By installing a thermostat in each room, temperatures can be adjusted independently across the property.
Both systems use aluminium heat spreader plates to distribute heat evenly across the floor surface. The main difference is the number of zones and level of control, with multi room systems offering greater flexibility for larger or multi-area installations.
