Varme range of self-regulation frost protection cables are designed to keep water and drainage pipes working and free from ice whatever the weather.
The cables come complete ready to work, fitted with a Molded Plug that plugs straight into any standard house plug socket. The cable is also fitted with a temperature sensor, so as soon as the temperature drops below 5°c the cable is activated and because the cable is self-regulated, it uses the minimum amount of power to maintain the temperature to prevent freezing.
Guaranteed Frost Protection!
Just one burst pipe could cost hundreds of pounds to fix and thousands in damage. Is it worth the risk?
Uses include:
- Lofts
- Garages
- sheds/summer house
- Outside taps
- Farm buildings
Anywhere with pipes is at risk.
Installation steps:
- Wrap the cable round the pipe even under insulation
- Hold the cable in place with cable ties or tape
- Plug into the mains and it’s protecting your pipe already
We only supply ‘twin core’ heating cables. Twin core cables have two heating elements inside which gives two important advantages over ‘single core’ cables.
Firstly you only have one end to connect to the power supply, which is a big advantage during the installation process.
Secondly the EMF (electromagnetic field) which is created in all electrical appliances and wiring is dramatically reduced, to a level where it is almost immeasurable. Whilst this may not be a major concern for you today, there is a lot of research currently being undertaken around the globe into the effects of EMF and it is impossible to predict what findings may occur in the years ahead.
