High Output vs Standard Output Single Room Screed Kits
The key difference between high output and standard output single room screed kit is the pipe spacing, which directly affects heat output and system performance within the room.
High output systems use 150mm pipe centres, allowing for increased heat output and efficient operation at lower water temperatures. This makes them suitable for air source heat pump (ASHP) systems, as well as single rooms with higher heat demand such as extensions, large glazed areas, or less insulated spaces.
Standard output systems use 200mm pipe centres, providing a more economical solution for well-insulated rooms where heat demand is lower. These systems are commonly used with gas boilers and are suitable for typical domestic applications requiring steady background heating.
Both systems are installed within a screed layer, ensuring even heat distribution across the floor surface. Choosing between them depends on the room’s insulation levels, heat loss, and the type of heat source being used.
