16mm PERT-AL-PERT Underfloor Heating Pipe – High-Performance Multilayer Composite UFH Pipe

Our premium 16mm PERT-AL-PERT pipe is a high-performance multilayer composite pipe engineered for water underfloor heating systems. Manufactured under ISO 9001 quality management controls and produced to meet recognised European requirements for composite pipework, it delivers outstanding reliability for domestic and commercial underfloor heating installations.

This 5-layer 16mm PERT-AL-PERT (PAP) underfloor heating pipe is used across all of our warm water UFH kits and combines the flexibility of plastic with the strength and stability of aluminium. The result is a professional-grade UFH pipe designed for long-term performance, dimensional stability, and ease of installation.

The aluminium core provides excellent mechanical strength and, critically, acts as a 100% oxygen barrier in accordance with DIN 4726. This prevents oxygen
ingress into the heating system, helping to protect key components such as the underfloor heating manifold, pumps, and valves from corrosion and premature wear. The aluminium layer also makes the pipe form-stable, significantly reducing spring-back for faster, cleaner, and more accurate installation.

Our PERT-AL-PERT pipe is manufactured to comply with EN ISO 21003, the European standard for multilayer piping systems used in hot and cold water installations. This allows 16mm PERT-AL-PERT pipe to be suitable for both underfloor heating and potable water applications (when installed in accordance with relevant regulations and system design requirements).

By comparison, PERT-EVOH pipe is typically intended for underfloor heating only. Without a metal layer it is more flexible and easier to bend, which can reduce physical strain on larger projects, but it does not offer the same level of rigidity, form stability, or multi-application versatility as 16mm PERT-AL-PERT UFH pipe.
