Flooring Compatibility & Installation Tips

Carpet

• Install a 20mm wooden baton perimeter for grip rods.
• Prime the boards with Mapei Eco Prim Grip.
• Apply 5–10mm fibre-reinforced self-levelling screed for a smooth base.
• Keep combined carpet and underlay below 2.5 tog for best heat output.

Engineered Wood & Laminate

• Lay a moisture barrier, then a 3mm breathable underlay, and float your flooring.
• Alternatively, prime, screed (5–10mm), and glue down using Mapei Ultrabond Eco S955 for a bonded finish.

Tiles

• Prime with Mapei Eco Prim Grip.
• Apply 5–10mm self-levelling screed.
• Fix tiles using Ultra ProFlex S2 Flexible Tile Adhesive for crack-free perfection.

Vinyl & Karndean

• Prime with Mapei Eco Prim Grip.
• Apply 5–10mm self-levelling screed to create a perfectly smooth surface ready for your finish.
